Cronton

Cronton

Picture

Croton is a gorgeous plant with colorful broad leaves that can be used in planters, as shrubs, or accents. It’s broad leathery leaves offer a striking contrast to shrubs and groundcovers. This plant originates from Indonesia, Malaysia, Australia, and the Western Pacific Islands.

The Croton can cause eczema (skin irritation and redness). Also, the bark, roots, latex, and leafs are poisonous. The oil is violently purgative (Laxative) and suspected of being a carcinogen. Consumption of seeds can be fatal to children.
